“Muse Light”

Crisp autumn makes time stand still
The thrill of earth’s might
Wheel turning to winter’s dark
A spark of dying light
Draws me to write
My muse’s fancy fulfilled

This piece is an experiment in a stanza form created by a poet named Louis Macniece, and was brought to us by With Real Toads’ Sunday Mini-Challenge this weekend. I’ve given it a shot, and found it a bit hard to do, but I think I was successful.
